Job no: 518240 Work type: On Campus Location: Normal, Illinois Title: Facilities Services Summer Intern- Construction Management Employee Classification: Division Name: Finance and Planning Department: Construction Management Job Summary The Construction Management Student Intern will be part of the Facilities Services Student Internship Program that provides opportunities for students to engage in meaningful learning experiences including lunch and learn sessions, field experiences in Facilities operations, career prep sessions, and department tours.
This position will support the Project Management group in the Facilities Construction Department.
The individual will attend and engage in team meetings to take and compile meeting minutes, communicate updates, track progress, share insights, and gather feedback.
Will also track project changes and review RFI's.
Perform other duties and functions for Facilities Construction as assigned.
Pay Rate $14.
00/hour Required Qualifications Current student in an undergraduate program with emphasis in construction management.
Preferred Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to communicate with individuals from various technical and educational backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and take initiative on projects as needed.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Hours Work Hours: This is a summer internship to be completed between May 2024 – August 2024.
Standard office hours are 8:00-4:30, M-F.
Specific hours to be determined upon hire.
