The Music Shoppe is looking for highly motivated individuals to help our company grow.
The heart of our business is band & orchestra; The Music Shoppe works with over 400 schools across Illinois each week.
We also carry guitars, drums, sound equipment, digital pianos, print music, and more.
Additionally, we have the area's largest repair department and lesson studios.
As Central Illinois' oldest and largest music retailer, we truly are a one-stop shop for any musician.

As we look to expand upon the quality of our service, we are seeking talented, self-motivated individuals.
Responsibilities:
* Provide a premium customer service experience for every customer encounter
* Develop customer relationships and loyalty through knowledgeable sales presentations
* Maintain product knowledge through online and in-store training sessions
* Guide families through our instrument rental programs, from explaining the features to filling out the paperwork.
* Must be able to play at least one musical instrument to a reasonable standard in order to demo products.
* Opening and closing store, counting down registers and maintaining a clean showroom
* Maintain product displays by restocking, cleaning, organizing, and performing routine upkeep on instruments.
* Respond to customer inquiries via phone, text, and email in a timely manner.
* Occasionally lift & move products and packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years experience in sales or customer service.
* Minimum of 2 years formal education in instrumental music and performance.
* Basic computer skills, including email and word processing.
* Degree in music or equivalent professional experience.
* Proficiency with any or all of the following software: AIM Point of Sale, Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Podium.
