JOB SUMMARY:
The Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator facilitates all aspects of the
agency’s community-wide and neighborhood specific revitalization efforts with guidance
from the Executive Director.
These efforts will include community building and resident
engagement activities; fundraisers, adult and youth resident leadership training,
development, and mobilization; and community stakeholder collaborative efforts and
partnership support and development.
The work will align with MCCA’s vision and mission.
This position will ensure compliance with outcome standards from Community Engagement
funders.
SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Serve as an MCCA representative in the community:
• Ability to travel occasionally, work nights and weekends occasionally
• Openness to work with low income and diverse populations
• Go out into target neighborhoods to conduct activities as required
• Attend community resident meetings and community events as agency
representative and provide presentations as applicable
• Attend and participate in community-based stakeholder meetings/events as MCCA
representative
• Support community stakeholder-based revitalization and development efforts that
positively affect residents
• Facilitate partnerships based on residential input, needs, and vision of their
community
• Facilitate cooperative interactions between resident leaders and community
stakeholders that address identified community needs
Strong organizational and planning skills:
• Coordinate and implement the NeighborWorks® Community Impact Measurement
Project
• Coordinate NeighborWorks® Week activities, MCCA social gatherings, Seeds of
Change, CDV Golf Outing, and the Carnival of Care
• Coordinate MCCA’s volunteer program; including recruitment, recognition, retention,
and data management
• Keep appropriate files, documentation and records of program participation,
volunteers, and contact with residents, etc.
• Assist with grant administrative duties (e.
g.
, printing program material, printing
labels, research for grant applications etc.
)
• Assist with logistical preparations for agency program workshops and/or meetings
• Attend trainings and provide presentations as designated
• Generate ideas and plan for revenue-generating events
• Maintain information (databases and files) about donors, friends, events, and any
other matters related to fundraising/development
Advanced knowledge of social media and excellent computer skills:
• Ability to use Microsoft Office products
• Ability to design software strongly desired
• Maintain all social media platforms and agency website; stay up to date with
promoting community events within these platforms
• Accurately enters gifts into donor database, ensuring that all are coded correctly
according to campaign, purpose, gift amount, and any restrictions or reporting
requirements that may apply
• Mine donor database for relevant information for identified fundraising strategies
Ability to work independently and as part of a team:
• Collaborate with leadership team, local residents, and other neighborhood agencies
on projects, events, activities, and planning to strengthen the CB&E program
• Assist with grant administrative duties (e.

• Serve as liaison to the Board of Directors Fundraising Committee
• Assist in execution of board approved resource development plan
Create and design Agency promotions:
• Develop all agency communication materials, such as brochures, event flyers, the
annual report, e-newsletter, and other written materials
• Maintain consistent visual messaging and logo placement

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform required tasks
Educational: Associates Degree or equivalency; advanced training preferred
