Auxiliary Assistant Job Objective The objective for the position of Auxiliary Assistant is to provide additional assistance to the residents and staff>>>> Essential Functions Provide assistance to the C.

’s – no resident weight bearing Answer call lights Assist with 15 minute visual checks-utilizing AA checklist tool and ensuring assigned CNA receives completed checklist for documentation Assist residents in wheelchairs to and from dining rooms Help in dining rooms (pass drinks/take orders, serve meals) Take meal orders and serve meals to residents who choose to eat in their room Make beds Pass ice water and snacks to residents without modified diets Be sure resident rooms are neat and tidy (clean night-stands and bedside tables, empty trash, etc.
) Ensure that personal items are charged out as necessary Ensure that all personal items are labeled, bagged, and in nightstand Ensure rooms and shower rooms are fully stocked (gloves, personal hygiene items, etc.
) Follow facility policies to ensure resident safety at all times – following In-services regarding all resident safety policies and complete orientation Wheelchair cleaning AA will perform NO direct patient care, i.
e.
, lifting, transferring, incontinent care or feeding Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Must be able to meet any physical requirements of the functions of this position Must apply for scholarship program and complete CNA course and testing within 6 months of hire Supervisor This position is supervised by C.
