Parts Manager
Driscoll Motor Co Parts Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire parts department including but not limited to: distributing the correct parts to each technician to complete their current job.
Ensuring all parts are added to the required Invoice before invoicing, helping our customers get the replacement parts they need.
Manage employees, checking inventory, scrapping used warranty parts, and ordering new parts when necessary.
Manager will also directly handle customer service when an issue needs extra support.
Parts Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with Service Department to keep up with all parts on order & backorder, and ensure communication when they arrive so repairs can be completed
Maintain regular inventory and place orders when necessary
Oversee the shipment of replacement parts
Handle complex or pressing customer issues
Manage your team and set employee schedules
Ensure all parts that leave the parts area are accounted for on all retail, warranty & customer invoices
Manage parts returns for warranty transactions
Manage proper scrapping of used parts according to all GM guidelines
Source parts from external customers when required
Handle orders and shipping for eCommerce
Adhere to all OSHA Rules & Guidelines for handling hazardous materials and maintaining up to date training as required
Maintain current training for GM requirements
Train new parts department employees
Parts Manager Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate
Automotive experience
Management or leadership experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Computer proficiency
