Pool Manager

FULL-TIME/SEASONAL POOL MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION SALARY RANGE $ POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of the position is to perform a variety of management duties for the City of Farmer City at the public swimming pool facility during the summer MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Plan, organize, schedule, direct and/or lead various recreational programs at the pool * Develop and monitor budget; submit receipts and bills for payment * Secure supplies, equipment and facilities * Recruit, interview, hire and train program staff; supervise and evaluate performance SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS * Supervise seasonal employees and participate in hiring and training of staff * Develop and maintain weekly staff schedules to ensure coverage * Direct seasonal staff to ensure performance continues to meet customer service and other standards * Reconcile cash drawers each day; EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS * Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with enthusiasm and integrity.
* High school diploma required; two years recreational or pool experience in a supervisory role preferred * Ability to manage and handle cash and check payments in an accurate manner.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions * Ability to give verbal and written instructions * Ability to direct, appraise and discipline staff in a respectful and constructive manner * Ability to maintain a high level of customer service in all areas of responsibility Job Types: Full-time, Temporary Pay: $20.
