com* *Education: *Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or completion of a Culinary Arts program preferred, Food Operators Certification.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
*Experience:* Minimum of two years of kitchen management and lead chef/cook experience at a full- scale restaurant, country club, or related business preferred.
Experience developing plans for food ordering, prepping, preparing, serving, and pricing a must.
*Job Summary:* Responsible for all food production and service for the Club operation and activities.
Directly supervises all kitchen staff and works closely with the Administrative team responsible for restaurant, banquet and special event operations.
Plan and implement all operating procedures for the kitchen and banquet operations.
Assists in the preparation and monitoring of the annual food and kitchen budgets.
Hires, trains, supervises, and schedules personnel within the kitchen.
This position reports directly to the General Manager.
*Responsibilities of the Position Include:* - Leads the kitchen and kitchen staff during all events and hours of operation.
- Prepare dishes from the Club’s Menu during dining Room hours of operation.
- Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff & professional development activities for experienced staff are planned and implemented.
- Assist in the development of all Restaurant and Banquet Menus.
- Work with other members of the administrative team in the coordination of private events hosted by the Club.
- Complete monthly Inventory and weekly food ordering for restaurant and events.
- Inspect to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy mgmt.
, preventative maintenance, and other standards are consistently met.
- Researches new products and develops an analysis of the cost/profit benefits.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures for the kitchen and staff.
- Monitors purchasing and receiving procedures for products and supplies to ensure proper quantity, quality, & price for all purchases.
- Works closely with the General Manager and other Club administrators daily to help assure the highest level of member satisfaction at minimum cost.
- Assists in planning and implementing procedures for special Club events and banquet functions.
- Approves all product invoices.
- Helps plan external and internal marketing and sales promotions for the food & beverage department.
- Assists in the recruitment, training, supervision, and termination of kitchen staff.
*Customer Service: * - Maintain positive interaction and cooperation with Club staff, Members, and facility guests - To ensure a high level of customer service, properly hire, train, reward, discipline, and terminate staff as necessary.
- Manage, motivate, and oversee staff to ensure they are performing jobs properly and customer needs are being satisfied.
- Addresses member and guest complaints and advises the GM about appropriate corrective actions.
*Fiscal Management: * - Assists in the development of the Club’s annual budget.
- Works diligently to reduce food and labor costs for the kitchen operations - Continually monitors the pricing structure for menu items to assure adequate revenues versus costs.
- Approves all product invoices before submitting to the administrative office.
*Safety and Risk Management: * - Keep facility, employees, and patrons safe at all times, and exercise safety procedures with equipment and supplies.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures in compliance with health and legal regulations.
*Hours of Work & Compensation: * Hours are based on needs and schedule of the facility, which could include opening, closing, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
The expected hours of work are a minimum of 40 hours per week, depending on happenings and season.
The position is a salaried, exempt position and not eligible for overtime pay.
*Physical Requirements: * - Requires regular physical activity, including but not limited to standing, reaching, pulling, pushing kneeling, crouching, stooping bending & sitting.
- Requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Requires talking and hearing to communicate with staff & patrons - Walking will be required regularly to inspect the multi-level facility - Sufficient vision to cook, write, obtain information from written material, & to maintain general safety will be required *Other Job Functions: * - Performs job in compliance with El Paso Golf Club policies and standards.
- Properly handles Club funds, when necessary, keys, and security codes and procedures.
- Maintains high staff morale through positive and engaged leadership.
- Wear appropriate work apparel according to duties assigned.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $46,000.
00 - $52,000.
