*TITLE:* Chief Operating Officer

*PRIMARY FUNCTION: *
Oversees organizational operations and programs with primary concern for program development and implementation; staff development; supervision of assigned staff; facilities; grants; and budget management.
*KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): * _Leadership _ 1.
Oversee the implementation and delivery of operations, programs, services and activities that facilitate achievement of Youth Development Outcomes; ensure outcome measurement and data analysis to improve quality of Club operations.
2.
Lead the development and implementation of organizational infrastructure, in relation to need and available resources to facilitate achievement of operational goals including outreach efforts.
3.
Provide leadership to site coordinators and program managers in the management of the sites.
Attends and participates in steering committee meetings and develops new steering committee members for outreach sites and keeps sites advised of issues and updates.
4.
Ensure an environment that facilitates achievement of Youth Development Outcomes, with overall responsibility for cleanliness, attractiveness and safety of properties and equipment.

Oversee identification and evaluation of opportunities to improve program effectiveness based on participation and achievement of stated goals; recommend modifications to improve program performance, as appropriate.

Manage administrative and operational processes, overseeing the maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and other facilities.

Plan and implement a staff development and training program, to include a focus on Club and child safety.
10.
Manage and oversee grants including 21st century, TeenReach, ASP, OJJDP and others as secured, etc.

Develop collaborative partnerships with other youth serving organizations, members, parents, families and community organizations.
12.
Support board committees, as assigned.
_Marketing and Public Relations _ 13.
Participate in activities to maintain public trust in Club programs, services and activities.
*ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * 1.
May assist in the administration of restricted programs by overseeing program operations at each location; ensure the completion of required reports; and prepare any required interagency reports.
2.
May be responsible for managing human resources programs and systems including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, training and development.
*RELATIONSHIPS: * *Internal:* Maintain close contact with assigned staff to provide technical assistance in matters of programming and operations; interact regularly with Chief Executive Officer and, as assigned, with the Board of Directors and its committees.
*External:* Maintain contact with external community groups, schools and others.
*SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: * July 2020 2 *Chief Operations Officer * * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university * A minimum of five years work experience in nonprofit operations management and supervision, or an equivalent combination of experience and education * Considerable knowledge of: the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of Boys & Girls Clubs; and the principles and practices of nonprofit organizations * Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations; in personnel supervision, ability to recruit and retain key personnel; oversee facilities management; and manage budgets * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to manage multiple tasks and develop solutions with limited supervision * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Club staff, subordinates, board members, community groups, and other related agencies *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: * _Please evaluate and describe any physical skills, abilities or working conditions required to perform the essential duties of this position, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
