*Description*
We seek applicants for a full-time position on our Human Resources team to lead and manage functions supporting talent development, employee onboarding, training, recognition, and performance management.
The Associate Director will plan and collaborate with College stakeholders to assess and facilitate employee and organizational needs for talent development, with a focus on strategies that support and promote equity, diversity, and inclusion.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to
* Lead and manage talent development functions and supervise staff member supporting related processes
* Develop and maintain processes, record-keeping, communications, systems, and other resources for talent development functions including
* employee onboarding
* employee and supervisor training
* performance evaluation and management
* employee recognition
* employee education (tuition waivers, tuition reimbursement, etc.
)
* sabbatical leaves
* Assist in the development and monitoring of the budget for talent development; oversee data entry for vendor payments related to talent development
* Serve as liaison to professional development and training presenters and coordinate logistics (location scheduling, set-up, technology needs); present sessions as appropriate
* Maintain currency in the talent development field and make recommendations for College initiatives and supporting operations
* Provide guidance and identify strategies and resources to employees and supervisors navigating performance improvement opportunities, in consultation with the Executive Director
*Requirements*
* Bachelor’s degree
* Work experience and/or education in human resources, talent development, or directly related field
* Functional skills using Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, strong editing and proofreading skills, ability to present to groups, and to collaborate effectively
* Ability to advance a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion and interact effectively within a diverse campus community
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism under pressure
*Desired Qualifications*
* Related professional certification (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, APTD, CPTD)
* Supervisory experience
* Familiarity with HR information systems and/or ERP systems
* Familiarity with learning management systems
* Familiarity with talent development metrics, methodologies, and best practices
