Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our dance studio.
The role requires proficient office administration skills, the ability to independently problem solve, and strong communication and organizational skills.
The Office Manager will be accountable to the Board of Directors.
Essential Job Duties:
- Manage day-to-day studio activities including answering voice mails and emails, establishing class schedule with teachers, supplying content for social media and parent communications, and assisting with website updates.
- Establish customer billings in online system and follow up to ensure tuition collection.
- Oversee high level personnel duties such as administration of required payroll forms, execution of teacher contracts, and timecard approval and submission to third-party payroll servicer.
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties including generating deposit reports, recording journal entries, and making bank deposits.
- Collaborate with designated board member to coordinate various details associated with dance performances including securing venues, writing backstage scripts, ensuring teacher’s needs for costumes, props, and other matters are met, and volunteers are secured.
- Handle general building maintenance issues, serve as liaison with landlord, manage security access, and complete light studio cleaning.
Skills:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management
- Experience in basic human resources functions
- Strong clerical skills for efficient office operations
- Excellent office management capabilities to ensure smooth operations
- Ability to organize files and documents systematically
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of office administration experience
- Basic dance knowledge a plus, but not required
Other:
- Hours are M-Th 3:30-8:30; Saturday 8:30-12:30; additional hours required from time to time depending on class and performance schedules and needs of position
- Salary paid throughout the entire year, even when studio is closed (after first weekend in December until classes resume in January, during local school district Spring Break, most of month of June)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $37,500.
