Cobblestone Hotel and Suites of Paxton, Illinois is looking to hire a manager who can help assist the General Manager in several areas of hotel operations.
An Assistant Manager, is *responsible for implementing workflow procedures based on direction from the company's General Manager*.
Their duties include supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace.
Although the job description for these duties varies, there are mainly five key responsibilities every Hospitality Manager should expect to administer: *Managing budgets, customer service, supervising staff, coordinating departmental tasks, and overseeing food and beverage*.
Hospitality management involves all the tasks and aspects associated with managing a hospitality business.
These businesses focus on welcoming customers and providing them with pleasant experiences, whether through dining, lodging, events, entertainment, or travel.
This position would be paid hourly and is full time.
* Schedule and coordinate meetings.
* participate in employee performance reviews.
* Develop good customer relationships.
* Smooth out problems within the workplace.
* Address employee and customer concerns.
* Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency and goal achievement.
* Email and phone correspondence.
* Liaise between managers, customers and employees.
* Provide direction to staff.
* Monitor spending patterns and budget.
* Fill in for General Manager (GM) in times of absence.
Make executive decisions, hold meetings and provide accountability.
* Troubleshoot POS system.
* Support ongoing learning and development of team members.
* Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.
* Fill in on shifts for staff call offs
* Train for all 3 shifts 7a-3p 3p-11p and 11p-7a
General Manager would cover shifts during the day time and the assistant Manager would mainly cover shifts at night.
Our Food and Beverage department includes Breakfast and the onsite Beer/Wine Lounge open 430p-1130p.
