Job Summary
The Students’ Attorney is seeking a legal assistant/intern for the summer and fall semesters of 2024.
Applicants should indicate their desired semester of employment in their Statement of Work Availability.
Student employee/intern will assist the Students’ Attorney with filing, managing clients, conducting legal research, drafting memos and other legal documents, and other tasks as needed.
Student employee/intern should be proficient in all Microsoft Office software and have excellent writing and interpersonal skills as much of the work will be client-facing.
Student employee/intern should have great attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills.
Student employee/intern will be bound by the Illinois Supreme Court Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys including conflict of interest and confidentiality rules.
Student employee/intern may receive academic credits, if desired and properly coordinated with respective internship coordinator.
Additional Information Student employee will be subject to the Dean of Students Office student worker professional standards and a background check.
All student employees in the Dean of Students Office must maintain good academic (min.
