Responsible for supervising a staff of 1-3 assistant swim team coaches.
Position will work 30-40hrs a week, working 5 days a week, plus swim meets on weeknights and Saturdays.
Need to be able to conduct a swim program which teaches the correct stroke technique, teamwork, and prepares for recreational swim meets.
Swim team practice are held at our brand-new facility, O’Neil Aquatics Center.
Reports to the Aquatics Coordinator.

* Responsible for overall swim team programming operations.
* Designate groups based on swimmers’ abilities.
* Develop workouts and run practice daily on weekday mornings.
* Complete meet entries and oversee entries completed by swim team assistants.
* Set-up swim meets, including swim meet information, computer entries, heat sheets, swim meet operation and results.
* Coordinate and facilitate Twin City Swim Conference duties.
* Coordinate a parent meeting and work with team parents to coordinate team and meet responsibilities.
* Represent the team at the Twin City Swim Conference meetings.
* Uses problem solving/creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that swimmers encounter.
* Work with Aquatics Coordinator to ensure Concessions is staff and prepared for home swim meets.
* Work with Aquatics Coordinator to ensure Lifeguards are scheduled for meets and practices.
* Ensure safety of team members by developing rules and guidelines for in pool.
* Know, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the facilities.
* Respond quickly and efficiently to all emergency situations.
* Secures swim team equipment for practices and meets.
* Schedule team bonding activities outside of practice.
* Assist with janitorial duties.
* Must be available and flexible to work various hours during the week and weekend.

* *Required Certification:*American Red Cross Lifeguard and Waterpark Skills Certification
American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches Certification
* *Preferred Certification:*American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
