Job Summary
University College Graduate Assistants in the Peer Success Advocacy area support the student-centered mission of University College.
This position involves assisting with all aspects of the Peer Success Advocacy program and supporting student outreach efforts in University College.
This position has direct student contact in a one-on-one setting and a team environment.
Additional Information
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
-Assist with all aspects of the Peer Success Advocacy program, including hiring and selection, and training of student staff
-Observe, evaluate, and provide feedback to student staff as part of ongoing training process
-Assess students' needs and determine campus support interventions
-Participate in program assessment activities
-Demonstrate support for a diverse, equitable, and inclusive Peer Success Advocacy program
-Serve as a University College staff member, participating in regular staff meetings, training, required professional development sessions, department events, and supporting office functions
-Additional opportunities: learn about predictive analytics in student success initiatives; develop or enhance assessment skills; assist with data needs; create online training modules
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$1,473 per month

Must be a degree seeking graduate student at Illinois State University in Communication - any sequence, CSPA, EAF, Psychology - any sequence, Social Work, or Sociology.
Work Hours
Between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Position may require occasional work beyond the typical timeframe for special events or activities.

Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work up to 28 hours per week when the university is not in session.
