Member Services Associate - IAA Credit Union

The Member Services Associate at the IAA Credit Union opens accounts for members, resolves issues and professionally handles ongoing member needs.
Performs a variety of transactional services while providing members with a high degree of customer service and accuracy.
Responds to member requests and provides information by phone, email or in person.
Promotes and cross-sells a full range of credit union products and services.
This position is based out of our corporate office in Bloomington, IL five days per week.
How does a Member Services Associate make an impact?
Greets and welcomes members and visitors to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
Provides prompt, accurate and efficient service in the processing of transactions.
Opens new accounts and services existing accounts.
Sets up new account files and provides members with all necessary information for membership.
Promotes and cross-sells a wide variety of credit union products and services based on member needs.
Establishes and assists with safe deposit boxes, U.
S.
savings bonds and share certificates.
Maintains checking account supplies, including ordering checks, as assigned.
Serves as back up to call center representatives as needed.
Do you have what we’re looking for?
Thorough understanding of banking products.
Ability to apply, communicate and follow written procedures.
Ability to recognize cross-selling opportunities and make recommendations.
Familiarity with credit reports and other tools used to underwrite new accounts.
Regularly works varied daytime hours and every third Saturday with occasional overtime.
Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds (e.
g.
, safety deposit boxes).
This is an intermediate level support role, which typically requires 1+ years of teller/new accounts experience.
