Guest Services - Zoo

*Description* This is a part-time position in various areas of the zoo, heavily focused on great customer service.
The work is performed under general supervision after a brief orientation and training period.
Hours are during daily operation but may go into after-hours events or vary depending on seasonal aspects of zoo business.
*Examples of Duties* This list may not include all tasks and/or knowledge which may be expected of the employee, nor does it cover all specific duties which may be required.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Admission window and gift shop cashier.
* Carousel operator.
* Concessions cashier and food handling.
* Mini-golf cashier.
* Light groundskeeping.
* Assisting guests, relaying phone calls, answering general questions regarding the zoo, scheduling birthday parties, occasionally assisting volunteer coordinator or other staff.
* Perform related work as required.
*Typical Qualifications* * Knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic.
* Ability to make arithmetic computations accurately and rapidly; ability to operate calculator and cash register.
* Ability to safely handle food and follow food safety guidelines.
* Ability to follow general oral and written instructions.
* Ability to professionally interact with the public.
Minimum Age: 16 Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.
