Full Time Environmental Services Aide - Mclean County Nursing Home
Minimum Starting Rate: $15.
000/hour Position Schedule: Daytime hours; will include some weekend shifts Position Summary This position performs general cleaning and laundry activities at the McLean County Nursing Home and follows an assigned cleaning schedule that helps ensure a clean and friendly environment for staff and residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cleans and services wings, rooms, bathrooms, and offices efficiently and safely Transfers clean wet linen from washer and place it in dryers.
Removes dry linens from dryer, folds, sorts and stacks linens on carts for redistribution to wings Perform other duties as required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to follow established departmental policies and procedures, including appropriate dress code.
Ability to follow and complete cleaning schedules daily as assigned.
Maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the department.
Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of the laundry area and equipment for sanitation, order, safety and proper performance of assigned duties.
Ability to work independently as well as with others Required Qualifications High school graduation, or possession of a GED certificate; and some experience (0-1 year) with general housekeeping and laundry services; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skills and abilities.
