*JOB SUMMARY*
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington-Normal is looking for energetic and responsible employees who have a passion for working with children to join our organization in our After School Program.
This position will entail working with Teens, ages 13 to 18.
_Key Roles_
* Learn and implement nationally recognized programs while promoting and stimulating program participation.
* Provide supervision, guidance and act as role models to club members.
* Monitor programs, services, and activities to ensure the safety of all members.
* Flexibility when changes need to be made and dealing with a variety of situations.
* Maintain cleanliness and order of classrooms.
* Attend staff meetings and follow procedures.
* Willingness to meet educational requirements.
_Additional Information_
* Additional hours allotted for lesson plans, activity planning and staff meetings.

*KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED*
* High School Diploma – Required, some college preferred
* Experience working with older children
* Transportation to and from work; Drivers’ License Preferred
_Physical Requirements_
Helping members grow, learn, and gain new skills can be very rewarding.
The work is sometimes routine but new activities and challenges mark each day.
Youth development can be physically and emotionally taxing, as workers constantly stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift (25 pounds constantly) to attend to each member’s interests and problems.
