Duties:
- Assist teachers with creating and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the daycare
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtime, and naptime
- Foster positive social interactions among children and encourage cooperation and sharing
- Monitor the well-being of each child, including attending to their physical, emotional, and developmental needs
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the children in your care
- Keep the daycare environment clean, organized, and free from hazards
Skills:
- Classroom Management: Ability to effectively manage a classroom of young children, ensuring a positive and structured learning environment.
- Preschool: Experience working with preschool-aged children, implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
- Toddler Care: Knowledge of caring for toddlers, including meeting their basic needs, promoting development, and managing behavior.
- Daycare: Familiarity with the operations of a daycare facility, including licensing requirements, safety protocols, and daily routines.
- Caregiving: Ability to provide nurturing care to children, including feeding, diapering, comforting, and attending to their physical needs.
- First Aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to respond to accidents or injuries that may occur in a childcare setting.
- Childhood Development: Understanding of child development milestones and the ability to create activities that support each child's growth.
- Infant Care: Experience caring for infants, including feeding, soothing techniques, diapering, and promoting early development.
- Early Childhood Education: Familiarity with educational theories and practices related to early childhood education.
- Experience with Children: Previous experience working with children in a professional or volunteer capacity.
