JOB TITLE: Credit Analyst DEPARTMENT: Bloomington – Loan Department ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: Bloomington Community President *JOB SUMMARY:* The credit analyst position is responsible for analyzing credit data and financial information of persons and/or companies that are applying for credit or loans to determine the risk to the Bank.
The analyst will work closely with lenders associated with the relationship being analyzed.
The risk assessment prepared will then be used to determine if a loan or line of credit will be granted, and if so, the terms of the loan, including interest rate.
Credit analysts will prepare reports based upon their findings to help make decisions on lending and credit-worthiness.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* 1) Evaluating clients’ credit data and financial statements and or tax returns in order to determine the degree of risk involved in lending money to them 2) Preparing reports about the degree of risk in lending money to clients 3) Analyzing financials and using the data to recommend loan structure 4) Conferring with clients to verify their financial/credit transactions and to assist in the management of the credit relationship 5) Prepare spreadsheets, reports, summaries and opinions for lenders on new, renewal and existing loans 6) Ensure that all credit files are complete, identify any documentation deficiencies, and report to loan officer and credit administration as needed for timely resolution 7) Complete real estate evaluations accurately and on time as assigned 8) Complete reviews of real estate appraisals and evaluations accurately and on time as assigned 9) Ability to effectively manage one’s time to complete work according to established deadlines.
The ability to prioritize tasks to make the best use of time for high priority tasks.
10) Other duties as assigned by supervisor *Job Requirements:* 1) Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred 2) 1-2 years of previous experience preferred 3) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and generally comfortable with software packages 4) Able to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions and solve problems 5) Strong mathematical and analytical skills 6) Sense of discretion and willingness to maintain strict confidentiality of pertinent and sensitive information This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
